Prayer for chalking the doors at Epiphany

This morning at All Saints we blessed Chalk and sent it out with members of the congregation to mark our homes. We too would welcome the Magi as they return from their visit to the infant Christ and desire God's blessing on our households!

Father, may we who use this chalk in faith to mark the doors of our homes remembering the Magi:

Caspar,

write C+ 

  

Melchior,

write M+ 

  

and Balthasar,

write B+ 

  

know wisdom, prosperity and the presence of the Holy Spirit this year and always.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Or you can simply say:

“Christus Mansionem Benedicat” 

which means

“May Christ bless this house”
